Dr. Fried attended Brush High School and graduated with honors from
John Carroll University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He then attended Ohio State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a D.D.S. degree in 1980. He was elected a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Fried spent two additional years at University of California in San Francisco receiving cutting-edge specialty training in orthodontics. This specialty training focused heavily on craniofacial growth and development as well as all aspects of orthodontic theory and practice.

In 1990 Dr. Fried achieved the highest recognition in orthodontics by completing the board certification of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Fried, wife Elizabeth and their three children live in Solon, Ohio.
