Before:  Narrow upper jaw, open-bite of front teeth, thumb-sucking habit.

After:  This patient was seen at age 8.  The palate was widened and the expanding device helped break the thumb-sucking habit.  Full braces were placed in a second phase of treatment at age 12 to detail the bite.  No teeth were removed and she is pleased to show off her beautiful smile and also appreciates being able to bite through a sandwich!
